Directional Phase-Resolved Broadband Observations of Breaking Waves
The Air-Sea Interaction Laboratory receives a grant from the National Science Foundation (award NSF OCE 2319116) to investigate wave breaking. The project will collect detailed measurements of the ocean surface using visible and infrared cameras from the Air-Sea Interaction Tower at the Martha’s Vineyard Coastal Observatory. The data will be used to improve understanding of wave breaking and parameterizations of breaking dissipation.
